Mount Everest - Nepal
15 Day Trip | Level: Basic
THE 7 SUMMITS - Fly High and Climb High The beauty of the Seven Summits is it has a natural progression that suits a beginner adventurer all the way through to more experienced climbers meaning that while monumental, it is a goal that can be held by anyone. It takes a lot of courage and resolves to scale high peaks and rise to the level of an expert mountaineer. Dick Bass a wealthy Texas-based entrepreneur was the person who first captured attention in 1985 when he became the first person to achieve the feat of climbing to the highest point on each continent.
For us, 7 Summits are not just mountains of 7 continents they are the infinite source of thrill, adrenaline rush, extreme adventure, a dream of every mountaineer, and the supreme accomplishments of their life. From a geology viewpoint, The ‘Seven Summits’ are comprised of the highest mountains on each of the seven continents of the Earth: Everest, Aconcagua, Denali, Kilimanjaro, Elbrus, Mount Vinson, and Carstensz Pyramid. Reaching the summit all of them is regarded as a significant mountaineering achievement and whilst this is no modest undertaking, it remains an eminently achievable challenge for a motivated climber. Most climbers tend to tackle the goal starting from easiest to hardest, from lowest altitude to highest. For instance, new climbers can start with smaller, shorter expeditions like Elbrus and work their way up to bigger, more committing climbs. These trips will give climbers an indication of how they will do on the more serious climbs and at higher altitudes. The financial and time burdens of these smaller expeditions are also less onerous than Mount Everest or Vinson Massif.
